Therapeutic Embolization for Postoperative Hemorrhage of Lateral Inferior Genicular Artery after Total Knee Arthroplasty : A Case Report

Abstract

|
We describe a case of 67-year-old man who had a hemorrhage of the lateral inferior genicular artery after total knee arthroplasty. The authors encountered rare case of a pseudoaneurysm that was occurred due to the genicular artery injury during the knee arthroplasty operation. The pseudoaneurysm was treated successfully without the need for surgical intervention using transcatheter embolization. No recurrence of the hemarthrosis was observed in the patient after a follow-up of 2 years.
